When is the best time to visit Monument Valley?
The Monument is open year 'round and the most popular period of visitation is during the summer. Cooler temperatures and fewer visitors make Spring and Autumn an ideal time to visit and the Winter season is spectacular. It does snow at the Monument, but road delays are rare.
Are there ample lodging facilities?
There are ample rooms available, but reservations are recommended in advance, especially in the summer months. The HAMPTON INN is the newest hotel in the Monument Valley area.
How far is it to Monument Valley?

Are Monument Valley tours available?

Can I hike and inside the Monument?
There are no hiking trails open to the general public in the Monument. Hiking is allowed with authorized Navajo guides. Biking is not allowed inside the Monument. See Monument Info for more information.
What about restaurants and shopping?
The HAMPTON INN has the Reuben Heflin Restaurant open for lunch and dinner and continental breakfast is complimentary for all guests. The Burger King restaurant, located next to the Hampton Inn, features the Navajo Code Talker Exhibit. The Kayenta Trading Company is located in the HAMPTON INN.
